Nkafu is Recruiting Research & Policy Fellows
With the support of our partners Nkafu is very pleased to announce the urgent recruitment of Ten (10) Research & Policy Fellows
(EMAILWIRE.COM, March 30, 2020 ) Yaounde, Cameroon - The Corona Virus (COVID19) pandemic has dramatically changed the world and many of us are yet to fully grasp the scale of the change. Every country and region is struggling to manage the pandemic but it is already evident that Sub-Saharan Africa, given high poverty levels and limited safety nets, will suffer the most in terms of mortality and economic stagnation. There is an urgent need to study and anticipate these challenges and propose evidence-informed policies to help mitigate them.
With the support of our partners Nkafu is very pleased to announce the urgent recruitment of
Ten (10) Research & Policy Fellows to expand its research portfolio and its engagement with policy stakeholders. We seek mid-to-senior level researchers and creative thinkers to help achieve our mission of advancing public policies that help all Africans prosper in free, fair, and democratic economies especially in times like these.
We seek policy experts with diverse backgrounds. We are particularly interested in the areas of economic analysis, public health and security, peacebuilding and national security, job creation, sustainable development especially gender and women empowerment, education and inclusive governance. Fellows may be appointed for a Full Time or Part Time basis.
Expectations
Reporting directly to the Director of the Nkafu Policy Institute, Research & Policy Fellows will be expected to publish in-depth, peer-reviewed articles and engage policy stakeholders, through various forums, in promoting research outputs. They will co-organize and participate in public events and work with the larger research staff at Nkafu.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will hold advanced degrees in their fields or have demonstrated work experience and scholarly output. The individual must have the competence to pursue cutting-edge work and strong communication skills to influence public policy.
