The Secret Life of Pets 2 Has Premiere in Los Angeles
Harrison Ford was among the attending stars whose voices are those of the film's characters
(EMAILWIRE.COM, August 01, 2019 ) The premiere of Universal Pictures' 'The Secret Life Of Pets 2' was held at Regency Village Theatre on June 02, 2019 in Westwood, California. Universal's new animation managed to lead North American box offices that weekend with an estimated take of $47.1 million.
The Secret Life of Pets 2 follows the 2016 summer blockbuster about the lives our pets lead after we leave for work or school each day. Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri, and his longtime collaborator Janet Healy, produced the sequel to the comedy that had the best opening ever for an original film, animated or otherwise.
In this sequel, Max (voice: Patton Oswalt) faces some major changes after his owner Katie (voice: Ellie Kemper) gets married and has a child. On a family trip to the countryside, Max meets a farm dog named Rooster (voice: Harrison Ford) and both attempt to overcome his fears. Meanwhile, Gidget (voice: Jenny Slate) tries to rescue Max's favorite toy from a cat-packed apartment, and Snowball (voice: Kevin Hart) sets on a mission to free a white tiger named Hu from a circus.
Step and Repeat LA produced two pieces for the premiere. A 48” x 49” poster for Pets 2 and 72” x 27” lettering for Comcast. Both were mounted on a hedge wall.
