eMagin's Wearable OLED Display Showcased at SIGGRAPH 2003 CyberFashion Show

(EMAILWIRE.COM, July 30, 2003 ) SAN DIEGO and HOPEWELL JUNCTION, NY -- eMagin Corporation (AMEX:EMA) announced today that its eGlass II (tm) monocular head wearable display will be featured at the Second Annual SIGGRAPH CyberFashion Show. The showing of wearable computing gear, hosted by Psymbiote, is being held this evening at 7 PM at SIGGRAPH 2003, which is held through July 31 at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California. SIGGRAPH is the world's largest marketplace of computer graphics and interactive techniques,

eMagin's Virtual Vision(tm) eGlass(tm) Professional Series monocular head-wearable displays are designed for professionals who seek a private viewing and a lightweight solution to mobile computing with a large screen virtual image. The eGlass II incorporates Virtual Vision's proprietary optics technology with a vivid, high resolution OLED microdisplay to achieve a clear color virtual image equivalent to a 19-inch CRT at 24-inches, translating to a wide field-of-view. Power consumption is typically less than 0.6 Watts to maximize battery life. The headset weighs less than 5 ounces and folds to vest pocket size.

eMagin is now supplying limited quantities of the eGlass II, and plans to produce larger quantities by early 2004.
About eMagin
The world leader in organic light emitting diode (OLED)-on-silicon technology, eMagin combines integrated circuits, microdisplays, and optics to create a virtual image similar to the real image of a computer monitor or large screen TV. eMagin invented the award-winning SVGA and SVGA-3D OLED microdisplays, the world's first single-chip color video OLED microdisplay and embedded controller for advanced virtual imaging. eMagin's microdisplay systems are expected to enable new mass markets for wearable personal computers, wireless Internet appliances, portable DVD-viewers, digital cameras, and other emerging applications for consumer, industrial, and military applications. OLED microdisplays demonstrate performance characteristics important to military and other demanding commercial and industrial applications including low power consumption, high brightness and resolution, wide dimming range, wider temperature operating ranges, shock and vibration resistance, and insensitivity to high G-forces. eMagin's corporate headquarters and microdisplay operations are co-located with IBM on its campus in East Fishkill, N.Y. Optics and system design facilities are located at its wholly owned subsidiary, Virtual Vision, Inc., in Redmond, WA. Additional information is available at http://www.emagin.com or info@emagin.com.
