You could win Mega Money if you are Struck By Luck
Two new instant games from the Pennsylvania Lottery
(EMAILWIRE.COM, April 26, 2001 ) The Pennsylvania Lottery introduces new instant ticket games Tuesday, May 1, 2001, when STRUCK BY LUCK and MEGA MONEY go on sale. The games join a third instant ticket game that goes on sale that same day, the $2 POCONO RACEWAY'S NASCAR® CASH.
MEGA MONEY offers players just that, because this $5 ticket has a top prize of $250,000! Each ticket is comprised of four games; each game is played separately and players can win on all four games. When any of YOUR NUMBERS match the WINNING NUMBER in Game 1, you win the prize shown under the matching number. In Game 2, when YOUR TOTAL equals either 7 or 11, you win the prize shown in that row.
Game 3 has a match-three premise - match three like dollar amounts and win that amount. In Game 4, when any of YOUR NUMBERS match the WINNING NUMBER, you win the prize shown under the matching number. In a separate feature, reveal a $20 prize amount under the QUICK $20 and win $20 instantly! MEGA MONEY has over $9 million in total cash prizes, over $2 million in prizes of $40 and higher in the game. There are more than 195,000 QUICK $20 prizes. The overall odds of winning a MEGA MONEY prize are 1-in-3.60.
STRUCK BY LUCK is a $1 game with a top instant prize of $500. Players can win up to five times on one ticket; all winning tickets are instantly redeemable at Lottery retail locations. When any of YOUR NUMBERS match the LUCKY NUMBER, you win the prize shown under the matching number. Get a "horseshoe" symbol and win the prize shown under it automatically. There are more than 1.5 million automatic-win prizes, over 280,000 prizes of $10 and $20. The overall odds of winning a STRUCK BY LUCK prize are 1-in-4.65.
The Pennsylvania Lottery remains the only state Lottery that designates its proceeds to benefit older citizens. Since inception, the Lottery has contributed $11.6 billion to programs that have expanded to include property tax and rent rebates, free and reduced-fare transit for older Pennsylvanians, a co-pay prescription drug program (PACE and PACENET) and the 52 Area Agencies on Aging, including 650 full- and part-time senior centers, located in Pennsylvania. Players must be 18 years of age or older.
