Xenos Teams with IBM to Provide Content Management Solutions
(EMAILWIRE.COM, December 13, 2000 ) Xenos (TSE: XNS), the data to e-content company(TM), today announced an agreement with IBM that will benefit large organizations seeking to transform existing 'legacy' data and present it as Web-ready content for e-business.
Under the new agreement, part of IBM's Software Investment Initiative, Xenos will receive co-marketing funds for the marketing of the Xenos d2e Platform(TM) combined with IBM's ContentManager* OnDemand archiving and retrieval software. The Xenos d2e Platform is e-business enabling technology that transforms data and documents for archiving in Content Manager OnDemand. Output, including IBM AFP and Xerox Metacode, can be re-purposed into e-content formats, such as HTML, XML and PDF, for presentment on the Web.
"This new agreement enables Xenos to work with IBM to increase awareness of the total solution it provides to customers seeking fast and cost-effective transformation of archived data and documents for e-business," said Glen Manchester, President and CEO of Xenos. "There is increasing demand for IBM's world-leading Content Manager OnDemand solution - indeed, Xenos has worked with IBM to successfully install integrated solutions at 12 organizations around the world. Our new agreement is designed to facilitate further cooperation and business growth, in North America, and globally."
"The combination of IBM Content Manager OnDemand and Xenos d2e Platform helps provide companies a competitive edge, especially in enabling Xerox users to gain benefit from IBM's Content Management software," said Jim Kelly, vice president, data management marketing, IBM. "This relationship will help organizations leverage content within their e-business strategies, including Electronic Statement Presentment (ESP), Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment (EBPP) and electronic Customer Relationship Management (eCRM)."
Organizations set to benefit from the Xenos and IBM agreement are large 'bricks and mortar' companies seeking to leverage an existing 'legacy' application or large volume output stream for Web presentation. Examples include large billers, such as phone companies, credit card providers, and utility companies; statement providers, such as financial institutions and investments companies; and document providers, such as health care and insurance companies.
The Xenos d2e Platform supports both the data captured and archived into Content Manager OnDemand, as well as web-conversions to the data that is retrieved from the system. It features a component-based architecture that allows individual software components to be selected to enable customer organizations to transform existing 'legacy' data to e-content for presentation on the Web.
IBM Content Manager OnDemand is world-leading technology that enables large corporations to automatically capture, index, archive, retrieve, present and output large volumes of computer-generated documents and other related business information.
