WaveRider introduces 900 MHz wireless mobile WAN systems

(OTC BB: WAVR), the leader in non-line-of-sight wireless broadband technology and deployments, today introduced the WaveRider ‘MobileWAN’ family of wireless systems that enable companies to establish permanent or temporary wireless networks wherever high-speed voice and data communications are required.
WaveRider’s MobileWAN can be quickly installed in any location, making it highly portable and ideal for utilities, municipalities and other organizations that require advanced communications networks to connect remote work sites, large construction projects, or private communications networks. The systems also offer mobility for end users, making WaveRider’s MobileWAN products suitable for public safety and emergency response applications such as police cars and municipal vehicles.
WaveRider will unveil its MobileWAN products to dealers, public safety professionals and other end users of wireless communications equipment at the International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE) in Las Vegas on April 6, 2005. The company expects to commence shipments of the MobileWAN systems during the second quarter of 2005.

WaveRider’s MobileWAN systems support Voice over IP, video, short message, and data communications. Each system includes a base terminal, access router, and user terminals that can be used for fixed or nomadic applications within the MobileWAN service area. WaveRider offers three options for its MobileWAN systems, including a Communications Centre system, a Vehicle system and a Remote Site system. Further functionality is provided by a number of application specific bundles that include software and services to support voice PBX features, video surveillance capabilities and industry specific applications.
