(EMAILWIRE.COM, August 29, 2001 ) San Jose, CA – VIEO, Inc., a leading independent InfiniBand software company, announced today that its InfiniBand subnet manager and subnet administrator, components of the VIEO Fabric Manager™, successfully managed the largest-ever InfiniBand fabric – 101 nodes in all – at the Intel Developer Forum (IDF) on Monday. The company also broke new ground in the industry by demonstrating the first video application over Reliable Connect messaging.

VIEO Fabric Manager and VIEO FabricViewÔ products worked as a pair to display and manage the 101-node demonstration. VIEO Fabric Manager is a suite of platform independent software components that provide InfiniBand fabric management. VIEO FabricView consists of a console and an API library that enables InfiniBand fabrics to be managed by third party management products.

Also at IDF, VIEO demonstrated its latest Software Developer Kit (SDK) release that includes the first working and InfiniBand Architecture-compliant subnet administrator in addition to its subnet, baseboard, performance and communication managers. The updated SDK will be commercially available in September.
