Tom Joyner Kicks Off San Antonio MLK Day With Chaka Khan
(EMAILWIRE.COM, January 11, 2002 ) The Multicultural Marketing Committee of the San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau is helping to organize the first Tom Joyner Sky Show of 2002, featuring internationally acclaimed vocal legend Chaka Khan. Tom Joyner and the entire morning show crew will broadcast live from San Antonio to kick off the Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration weekend on Friday, January 18, 2002 from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Municipal Auditorium and Conference Center, located at 100 Auditorium Circle.

More than 40,000 marchers have participated in the past and many more are expected for this year's march on Monday, January 21, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. The M.L.K. March will kick off at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Park and will end at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Plaza on North New Braunfels Avenue.
