Something Blue Is The Toast For A Utah Couple Who Say “I Do” On ABC’s “The View”
(EMAILWIRE.COM, February 24, 2006 ) Las Vegas, Nevada; Amber Sevier traveled to Las Vegas in search of a wedding dress. She got that and much more when a producer from ABC’s popular morning show
The View offered her the ultimate opportunity: getting married on national television.
Amber and her fiancé of five years, Shaun McCoy, of St. George Utah, tied the knot Thursday on the show stage with the magnificent Caesar’s Palace as the backdrop. Amber and Shaun enjoyed having family and friends seated front and center in the audience while millions of viewers watched from home.
After their nationally televised nuptials, the newlyweds shook up tradition by toasting with “Something Blue,” a mixture of HPNOTIQ and champagne. “I am overwhelmed with joy,” Amber said. “I don’t have to do anything, there’s no stress and I’m a princess for a few days.”
The bride was already familiar with HPNOTIQ and when Amber was told she could mix it with champagne; she decided to make it her wedding toast. Aqua-blue hued HPNOTIQ is blend of premium vodka with tropical fruit juices and a hint of cognac.
The bride and groom spent their first night together in a palatial two-story suite in Caesar’s, complete with a Jacuzzi and floor to ceiling views of the strip. It’s the same suite once used to film scenes in the movies “The Rain Man.”
