Scott J. Seymour To Head Northrop Grumman's Integrated Systems Sector

Business Area Vice President to Lead Premier Aerospace Systems Integration Enterprise

(EMAILWIRE.COM, November 29, 2001 ) LOS ANGELES -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) today announced the appointment of Scott J. Seymour as corporate vice president and president of the company's Integrated Systems sector. He will assume his new position on Jan. 2, succeeding Ralph D. Crosby Jr., 54, who has decided to leave the company to pursue other interests.

Mr. Seymour, 51, is an 18-year company veteran and currently serves as vice president of the sector's Air Combat Systems business area, based in El Segundo, Calif. Air Combat Systems designs and integrates some of the U.S. military's most advanced manned and unmanned aircraft systems, including the B-2 Spirit stealth bomber, the Global Hawk unmanned reconnaissance aircraft, and the Fire Scout vertical tactical unmanned aerial vehicle. Mr. Seymour also oversees Northrop Grumman's work as a principal subcontractor on the F/A-18 Super Hornet and Joint Strike Fighter programs.

"Scott's extensive experience in successfully managing numerous military aircraft programs makes him uniquely qualified to lead this important sector of the company," said Kent Kresa, Northrop Grumman's chairman and chief executive officer. "From unmanned systems to our role on the Joint Strike Fighter program, the Air Combat Systems business area is one of the most dynamic segments of our company, thanks in large measure to Scott's leadership."

Mr. Kresa acknowledged Mr. Crosby for his 20 years of dedicated service to the company, which included leadership roles at two major operating divisions and the establishment of the Integrated Systems sector. "Ralph was instrumental in transforming the sector from predominantly an aircraft manufacturer to a world-class systems integration enterprise," Mr. Kresa said. "Under Ralph's direction, the sector today, as prime contractor, manages numerous major military programs while developing several next-generation systems. We wish Ralph continued success in his future endeavors."

Mr. Seymour will report to the office of the chairman, composed of Mr. Kresa and Dr. Ronald D. Sugar, Northrop Grumman's president and chief operating officer. Mr. Seymour will also serve on Mr. Kresa's corporate policy council.

Mr. Seymour joined the company in 1983 following 10 years with Grumman
Aerospace and McDonnell Aircraft Company, where he was involved in the manufacture and flight testing of the F-14A, EF-111 and the F/A-18A aircraft.

A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Mr. Seymour earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Polytechnic University in Brooklyn, New York, and a juris doctor from Western State University College of Law in Fullerton, Calif.
