(EMAILWIRE.COM, September 26, 2002 ) President George W. Bush has appointed Harriet B. Rotter to serve on the President's Advisory Committee on the Arts (PACA) of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Ms. Rotter, a Family and Matrimonial Law Attorney practicing in Franklin, MI, is one of nine national appointees to the position this year, and the only one from Michigan.

The Kennedy Center has the unique mission to serve as the National Center for the Performing Arts for the Washington, DC, area, as well as the entire country. This year is the celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Kennedy Center Honors. In addition, the Kennedy Center will begin an exclusive five-year engagement of the royal Shakespeare Company, the ten-year residency of the Kirov Opera and Ballet, and the ongoing residency of one of our country's premier orchestras, the national symphony Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Leonard Slatkin.

Harriet B. Rotter, a former Assistant Prosecuting Attorney of Oakland County, and former legal advisor to WXYZ-TV 7, has served on numerous boards and commissions, including the Board of Trustees at Central Michigan University and the Michigan Lawyers, she is past President of the Michigan Chapter and a member of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. She is listed in Best Lawyers in America.
