OnStream's Latest Delivers 240GB Capacity, Unmatched Reliability

OnStream's ADR2.240Sr delivers superior performance and data reliability with transfer rates of up to 16 megabytes per second* and an overall capacity of 240 gigabytes - all within a super-slim 1U-high rack mount package.
Based on OnStream's patent-protected, second generation Advanced Digital Recording (ADR2) technology, the ADR2.240Sr integrates two OnStream ADR2.120Si tape drives into an industry standard 19-inch rack form factor. The result is an ideal backup system for entry- to mid-range servers that delivers high capacity, reliability and performance at an affordable price.

Based on an eight-channel array, ADR2 technology allows the solid-state design to read and write eight tracks of data simultaneously. The embedded servo system guarantees accurate tracking of the head and ensures the information is written on defect-free media. Spatially distributed error correction code (ECC) reduces the bit error rate of only 1 in 1019.
OnStream's digital tape drives boast an MTBF value (Mean Time Between Failures) of 400,000 hours, while the use of data cartridges with Mid Load Point (MLP) reduces the average access time by a factor of two.
