Oklahoma State Auctioneers Association’s bid-calling contest to take place in Oklahoma City
(EMAILWIRE.COM, January 26, 2007 ) Oklahoma City, OK – The Oklahoma State Auctioneers Association (OSAA) will hold their Bid-Calling Contest at their Annual State Convention on February 2-4, 2007 at the Holiday Inn Airport hotel in Oklahoma City, Okla.
The OSAA Bid-Calling Contest preliminaries will take place on Friday, Feb. 2 at 6:00 p.m.; and the finals will follow on Saturday, Feb. 3 beginning at 6:00 p.m. This competition showcases the auction talent of Auctioneers from across the state. Contestants are judged by an interview and on their chant.
A Ringman and Rookie Bid-Calling contest will also take place, Friday, Feb. 2 at 6:00 p.m.
The National Auctioneers Association (NAA) reports the auction industry grew 7.1 percent for 2006, generating $257.2 billion. Auctions are currently the subject of widespread media coverage.
The Oklahoma State Auctioneers Association serves to establish the highest standards of business ethics among its members; to develop and promote equitable trade practices and high standards of ethics in the auction profession; and to promote an new understanding and wider acceptance of the auction method of marketing.
