Tucker as vice president of its Norden Systems business unit, effective immediately.Since 1999, he has served as director of Major Subcontract Management and Administration for the Electronic Systems sector in Baltimore. Mr. Tucker succeeds D. Wayne Snodgrass, who recently was named vice president of Engineering and Manufacturing for the Electronic Systems sector in Baltimore, Md.As vice president of Norden Systems, Mr. Tucker will oversee the company's diverse aerospace and defense-related electronics engineering and manufacturing activities at Norwalk, which include radar sensors for the U.S. Air Force/U.S. Army Joint SurveillanceTarget Attack Radar Surveillance aircraft as well as airport surface detection radars for the Federal Aviation Administration and other avionics programs.A 30-year veteran of Northrop Grumman, Mr. Tucker joined the company in 1970 and has held a variety of management positions of increasing responsibility over the years. Mr. Tucker previously served as business manager for electro-optical/infrared products; director of Contracts for the Defensive Systems Division in Rolling Meadows, Ill.; and director of Contracts, Pricing and Subcontract Management at the former Grumman Electronic Systems Division in Bethpage, N.Y.Mr. Tucker has an extensive background in both domestic and international contracting and subcontracting, strategic alliances, export controls, intellectual property and competitive procurements.A graduate of Morgan State University with a B.A. in economics, he earned a Doctor of Laws degree in 1977 from Howard University.
