For the customer this means that the price displayed on the website, in their chosen currency, is the price posted against their credit card. For a customer with a US dollar credit card, the purchases from UK artisans are displayed and will be transacted in US dollars without any foreign exchange conversion. TreasureLane.com believes it is unique in offering such convenience and protection against unknown currency conversion costs.
True to the new economy, TreasureLane.com was designed and constructed by a Welsh company, ShamrockInternet that is run by two principals originating from England and Canada. ShamrockInternet provides administration and customer support for TreasureLane.com ensuring all accounting and orders are processed correctly.
Initially launched in US dollars TreasureLane.com will be expanding soon to the other currencies. The site features artisans from Wales and England producing wonderful works ranging from ceramics and pottery, to beaded designs, framed pieces, cards, jewellery and other delightful objects for you, your home or friends. Currently TreasureLane.com is recruiting artisans from North America and Europe, and will be expanding its product range on a regular basis.
TreasureLane.com has a membership programme that offers rebates in the four currencies for frequent buyers. As well, there is a referral plan for people who know artisans interested in participating.
