Musicland Names Vice President of Visual Merchandising
(EMAILWIRE.COM, August 14, 2002 ) The Musicland Group today announced that Ron Brunette has been appointed to the position of vice president of visual merchandising.
As vice president of visual merchandising, Brunette reports to Kevin Freeland, president of Musicland stores. Brunette is responsible for creating visually exciting and innovative store environments, and visually supporting and managing company-sponsored initiatives to increase profitability.
"With his fine-tuned sense of creativity combined with his strong business and management skills, Ron is a welcome addition to the Musicland Team," said Freeland.
Brunette comes to Musicland from Medallion Associates of New York, where he directed branding, marketing and design projects for such clients as B.Dalton, DKNY and Foot Locker. Prior to that position, he was in leadership positions with such companies as Kids "R" Us, Woolworth Corp., Abraham & Straus and Lord & Taylor.
