Multi-Million Dollar Construction Contractor Dies, Large Estate Up for Auction
229 acres planted in pines and loaded with deer, turkey, hogs, and all kinds of native Florida wildlife.
(EMAILWIRE.COM, March 20, 2006 ) Suwannee County, FL – Curtis Haynes a popular and well known concrete and paving contractor has passed away. His love of fine things can still be seen at his park like estate in Live Oak, FL. He is survived by his wife Judy who helped design the elegant southern style plantation home and a son and daughter who helped build it.
As an avid outdoorsman Curtis brought this aspect of his life home. He owned 229 acres which were planted in pines and loaded with deer, turkey, hogs, and all kinds of native Florida wildlife. Instead of leaving the property to go fishing he just walked out of his office to his own fishing pond which he stocked with all his favorite kinds of fish.
When he did want to leave the estate he traveled in style. He collected all types of antique cars which he stored in his own museum located next to the home on the property. He spent countless hours doing his own miscellaneous repairs and maintenance.
Curtis loved his family and so he centered his life and business around them according to wife Judy “If he wasn’t working he was with his children”, she said. In addition to his own family he did everything but adopt two wayward children who needed a home, and raised them. He constructed his business offices on the property so he could stay close them. He also constructed a large recreation area that included a pool for family and business gatherings. Family and close friends loved to gather at this estate.
J.W. Hill & Associates will be conducting the auction. They, as well as the Haynes family, invite one and all to attend on April 8, 2006 on site at the estate. Many items of personal property as well as the property itself will be auctioned. For more information please call 888-821-0894 or check the web sites:
