This version extends Lighthammer's leadership position in the Manufacturing Intelligence and Collaborative Manufacturing software space by delivering significant enhancements in the areas of enterprise scalability, security and compliance.
Lighthammer CMS provides the core services required to enable customers to rapidly build composite applications that span the full breath of manufacturing excellence initiatives including: Performance Management, Continuous Improvement and Operational Synchronization. Designed to leverage, not replace, existing system investments, Lighthammer CMS offers time-to-value in days and weeks and return-on-investment typically in the 5X-20X range.

Lighthammer CMS 11 now includes a powerful Security Manager service, which allows unified user management, single-sign-on, and integration with a wide range of third party authentication systems including: SAP, LDAP/Active Directory, SAML, Windows Domains, Kerberos, and others. These features allow customers to manage user roles, memberships, attributes and define authentication/authorization services from existing enterprise user management directories, and/or through the Lighthammer application. This service provides the ability to implement a security strategy that fits any existing enterprise architecture and extends "single sign-on" into the domain of plant
applications improving compliance.
Additional compliance and traceability features have been added with the addition of an e-signature service to the product. A multi-level confirmation/challenge capability has been added to securely control and document user actions for regulatory compliance
such as 21 CFR 11, Sarbanes-Oxley, and others.
Enterprise integration capabilities have also been enhanced, with the addition of new business logic capabilities that take advantage of web services in SAP NetWeaver(TM) to simplify data integration between plant systems and enterprise systems.
