(EMAILWIRE.COM, December 30, 2005 ) Memphis, Tenn. -- John Roebuck, president of Roebuck Auctions, received the President’s Award of Distinction at the 56th Annual Conference of the National Auctioneers Association, held in Pittsburgh June 18 – 22.

Roebuck was one three of individuals/organizations given then the award at this year’s conference. Created in 2002, the annual award honors those whose behavior promotes and enhances the auction industry.

The award was unexpected and Roebuck said he was overwhelmed to have received it from the association that means so much to him.

“The auction business is in my blood. I love the industry and the NAA has been a big part of my professional life. This is such a tremendous honor and one I really didn’t expect. What a great surprise.”

A veteran in the auction industry, Roebuck has sponsored hundreds of new members in the NAA and has helped the growth of the organization throughout the years.
