Jataayu extends availability of their MMSC on the Windows platform to provide Mobile Carriers a high-capacity service platform. The powerful multimedia capabilities, such as multiple media Codecs, provided by the Windows Server platform is successfully leveraged by Jataayu to provide operators with advanced transcoding functionality and complete end-to-end offerings for rapidly launching the MMS service. Jataayu’s MMSC is a proven technology with multi-million subscriber base deployments, and is tested for interoperability with all leading MMSC vendors. Jataayu’s MMS technology is also known for the unique innovation of a ‘split-architecture’ that allows devices with lower memory and processing constraints to still have a powerful multimedia experience by transferring some of the client functionality to the server side and implementing an optimized protocol between devices and the network.

Microsoft’s Windows Mobile platform is widely believed to be a key driver for an entirely new generation of Smartphones and Wireless ready PDAs that are expected to become widely popular before this year ends. Jataayu’s MMS client technology provides reliable rendering of a wide array of media types and complements the powerful multimedia capabilities of these new generation devices.
