I teach and have taught credit education at Wayne County Community College, as well as in other forums. That is where the rub is (so to speak). As humans, we experience more than just a job loss or a serious illness. We experience the pain and emotional turmoil that go along with those and other life challenges. However, when it comes to credit, it is just the facts, ma’am and nothing else. ‘Verified’ facts are bits of information that are often wrongly translated into a series of letters and numbers, which in turn are reduced to codes and assigned to a data bank at a credit reporting agency. Codes are determined and entered into data banks by workers whose income is barely above minimum wage, and who, not only have the responsibility of entering in so many codes each working hour, but also have to meet hourly consumer complaint quotas (10) every working day.
