Broadcasts All 50 Top Shows To Young Hispanics In Its Most Successful Second Quarter Ever

(NYSE: UVN), the leading Spanish-language media company in the U.S., today announced that during the 2004 second quarter, the Galavisión Network drew more Adult 18-49 viewers than the other 13 Spanish-language cable networks combined by 13% in primetime and 33% in total day. In the quarter, Galavisión outdelivered its closest competitor, Fox Sports en Español, attracting 3.6 times more Adults 18-49 in primetime and 5.9 times more Adults 18-49 in total day.
With its exclusive all-Spanish programming lineup, Galavisión attracted record second quarter Adult 18-49 audience levels in total day and daytime. The 24-hour cable Network’s Adult 18-49 audience grew 26% in total day and 41% in daytime compared to last year.
During the quarter, Galavisión delivered the top 50 shows on Spanish-language cable television for Hispanic Adults 18-34 and 48 out of the top 50 shows for Hispanic Adults 18-49. In fact, two programs announced at this year’s Upfront presentation have already emerged as Galavisión favorites. “Vida Total” (SaSu 9-9:30am), an informative health and lifestyle magazine program, increased Adult 18-49 viewership to the time period 100%, while “Con Todo” (M-F 3-4pm), an entertainment and gossip program, increased Adult 18-49 viewership to the time period 11%.
