Experian selects Xenos software to enhance eCRM strategies
- Xenos d2e PlatformÔ helps Experian's customers improve customer relationships
(EMAILWIRE.COM, February 07, 2001 ) Experian, a $1.5 billion global information solutions company, has selected software from Xenos (TSE: XNS), the data to e-content companyÔ. The company, which has operations in the US and UK, selected the Xenos d2e PlatformÔ to enable a customer - one of Europe's largest broadband, TV, telephone and Internet communications companies - to develop a successful eCRM (electronic customer relationship management) strategy.
Experian selected the Xenos d2e Platform to transform bills, statements and other 'high touch' customer documents into Adobe PDF format. This enables the documents to be archived onto CD and accessed easily and quickly by customer service representatives, and customers via the Web.
"We print around 100 million bills and statements per year for our clients," said Declan Rea, Fulfillment Director at Experian and Reality. "The Xenos d2e Platform allows us to not only replicate this client documentation electronically, but also provides the opportunity for cross-selling and up-selling to customers. We are significantly enhancing clients' communication processes and eCRM strategies."
Experian evaluated software from six vendors before selecting Xenos. "The Xenos solution was the only one mature, robust and scalable enough to meet the eCRM demands of our customers," added Rea. "We were also impressed with the implementation and support services from Xenos - any queries we had were dealt with quickly and professionally."
The Xenos d2e Platform is a component-based architecture that allows solutions providers such as Experian, as well as large 'bricks and mortar' organizations, to select the appropriate software for their needs. Experian selected the AFP2PDF component of the Xenos d2e Platform, plus Xenos' Intelligent Document Control, running on an IBM RS/6000 platform under the IBM AIX operating system. It was important that the Xenos solution was fully interoperable with Experian's IBM Infoprint Workflow system.
Other organizations are expected to benefit from Experian's use of the Xenos solution in the near future. Rea anticipates that up to 20% of Experian's printed output will be available electronically by April 2001.
Glen Manchester, President and CEO of Xenos, said: "The success of our solutions at Experian is a result of our strategy of targeting ASPs. Xenos' technology is not only providing powerful information solutions to Experian's existing clients, but will provide ongoing business opportunities and revenues for both our companies."
