Elvis Memorabilia to Hit the Auction Block
Almost 400 Elvis Presley pictures and other memorabilia will be auctioned on the first day of “Elvis Week”
(EMAILWIRE.COM, August 04, 2006 ) MEMPHIS, TN -- Almost 400 Elvis Presley pictures and other memorabilia will be auctioned on the first day of “Elvis Week”, Monday August 14, 2006, at 6pm. The auction will take place at Anna’s Steakhouse, located at 6963 US Highway 70 Bartlett, Tenn.
To bid at the auction tickets must be purchased. Dining tickets are already sold out, but standing room only tickets are still available. People who cannot attend the auction are encouraged to bid online. This can be done by going to www.BidSpotter.com.
Anna Hamilton, the owner of Anna’s Steakhouse, is well known for her collection of Elvis Presley memorabilia and her knowledge of Elvis history. She graduated from Humes High School, the same High School that Elvis attended, and has kept ties with the school ever since. Part of the proceeds will be going to Humes High School
Walker Auctions of Memphis will conduct the auction. The auction company conducts over 100 auctions a year throughout the United States and Canada. “Because of the universal appeal of Elvis, we are expecting bids from all over the world,” said Auctioneer Lance Walker.
In addition to bidding online, it is also possible to place absentee bids the day of the auction at Carol’s Gifts & Collectibles. Carols is located at 7174 Hwy 64, Bartlett, Tenn.
