To bring this expertise to the everyday athletes, Derek Jeter of the New York Yankees, MLB; Vince Carter of the Toronto Raptors, NBA; Mia Hamm of the Washington Freedom, WUSA; Peyton Manning of the Indianapolis Colts, NFL, and Chamique Holdsclaw of the Washington Mystics, WNBA, underwent a variety of tests by GSSI scientists to show the science behind Gatorade and the importance of hydration.
The battery of tests will help these elite athletes understand that losing fluid and energy can impact their physical and mental performance. The testing conducted with these elite athletes is relevant to all athletes since most athletes do not replace all of the fluids they lose through sweat. This lab testing is featured in a new television commercial debuting Saturday, May 5th.
