Kirchmeier will be responsible for managing Operations, Quality, Engineering, Safety, Materials and Facilities & Maintenance. He will report to Michael Guthrie, President and Chief Executive Officer, Detroit Chassis LLC.

Kirchmeier served as Lean Champion and Engineering Function Leader since January 2005 and has provided significant leadership to the organizations ongoing Lean Transformation. He came to Detroit Chassis with 20 years of cumulative experience in Engineering, R&D, Operations, Supplier Development and Quality Systems. He earned both his BS in Industrial Engineering and MSE in Mechanical Design from GMI Engineering and Management Institute (Kettering University).

Kirchmeier is also a graduate of the Whittemore School of Business and Economics Executive Training Program at the University of New Hampshire. In addition to his background leading Lean Transformations, he has extensive experience in quality practices including Six Sigma Black Belt (for design), Supplier Quality Assurance, Shainin problem solving techniques, Taguchi Methods, and ISO/QS-9000 implementation.

Detroit Chassis is an assembler of class “A” motor home chassis and niche vehicles and is a subsidiary of Spectra LMP LLC, a supplier of concept to customer full service automotive solutions. Spectra’s other subsidiaries include Magnys LLC, a provider of computer simulation services to the automotive, aerospace and consumer products industries and Vsim LLC, a developer of proprietary software products for emulating PLC controllers.
