Delta Dental Group Selects Onyx Software to Leverage CRM Best Practices and Enhance Operating Efficiency

One of the Largest Dental Benefits Organizations in the United States Chooses Onyx to Unify Customer-Facing Technology Across Several Independent Companies

with their affiliates, have chosen Onyx to develop a CRM platform to meet their provider relations and group management business requirements. The selection of Onyx ensures a common business solution for the affiliated companies comprising the prominent dental benefits organization.

The Delta Dental Plans of California, Pennsylvania and New York are part of a holding company system, which combined with several other affiliate companies, represents one of the largest dental benefits organizations in the nation, generating more than $3.5 billion in revenues and covering more than 17.2 million enrollees in 16 states and the District of Columbia.

"We piloted the Onyx platform at our Pennsylvania affiliate and almost immediately saw the benefit in implementing it throughout our 16-state enterprise," said Gary D. Onyx is providing the Delta Dental group's customer-facing technology platform, which will initially focus on unifying the sales, underwriting, marketing and provider relations groups of its five operating companies. This will allow the Delta Dental group to leverage best practices across its entire enterprise and realize the economies of scale that company executives envisioned the holding company could bring.

Using the Onyx Employee Portal, multiple departments across several states will now share a single view of the customer. Before implementing Onyx, each of the Delta Dental group's operating companies and their departments were served by separate information systems. By using shared information in real time across all channels, the entire group's customers will benefit from faster, more personalized and more targeted responses to their needs.

This strategy will enhance customer service efforts, which should lead to higher satisfaction and long-term loyalty for the more than 17 million enrollees and a network of more than 50,000 participating dentist providers. Further, the Onyx solution will provide company executives the visibility needed to manage the sales and marketing divisions more effectively.
