The Atlantique City show, coming up March 24-25, will host nine guest and celebrity appraisers for a show that is bigger and better than ever before. A roving emcee, live audience and videotaping of featured items will guarantee this year’s appraisal booth will be a special event. Appraisals will be offered by specialists in sports cards, fine jewelry, textiles, glass, autographs, books and maps. All general antiques can receive appraisals as well.

Celebrating his 35th year with Antique Trader as editor emeritus, author and general antique expert, Kyle Husfloen of Palm Springs, Calif., will return to Atlantique City. Husfloen has served as an appraiser and lecturer on antiques across the nation. Sports cards collectors everywhere will recognize the name of Alan “Mr. Mint” Rosen, noted for discovering and trading some of the finest and most rare card collections ever found. Rosen, of Montvale, N.J., will be present both days to advise in this area.

Again taking to the appraisal stage will be the father-son team of Berj and Kevin Zavian, founders of Cluster Jewelry of New York. The Zavians are also featured appraisers on Antiques Roadshow, and will provide fine jewelry appraisals. Specializing in pop culture, animation, textiles and celebrity memorabilia will be appraiser Caroline Ashleigh of Birmingham, Mich. Ashleigh has regularly appeared on Antiques Roadshow since 1996.

Carolyn Remmey of Remmey Antiques and Fine Art in New Vernon, N.J., will once again lend her expertise in glass, pop culture, toys and New Jersey memorabilia. Remmey has also appeared on Antiques Roadshow. Ellen Schroy, editor of 22 consecutive editions of the Warman’s Antiques and Collectibles Price Guide, will return as a general antiques appraiser. Beyond her work as an author, Schroy, of Quakertown, Pa., has contributed to national television and radio shows.

Bringing years of experience in appraisal of maps, prints, books and autographs will be Dale Sorenson of Falls Church, Va., director of auctions for Waverly Auctions and Quinn’s Auctions. An accredited member of International Society of Appraisers, Linda Roberts will provide appraisals on general items. Roberts and her husband, Howard, own White Orchid Antiques & Appraisals in Media, Pa.

“The appraisal booth is a popular draw at Atlantique City, and we’re excited to build on the tradition of high-profile specialists offering free appraisal for our show attendees,” said Eric Bradley, show producer of Atlantique City. Attendees can have one item appraised for free; subsequent appraisals are charged $10 each.
