CapeConnect 3.5 extends Cape Clear's existing support by including native interoperability with the latest release candidate for Microsoft .NET framework and Microsoft VisualStudio.NET. CapeConnect 3.5 is currently available as a Beta release, with a full commercial release expected by the end of February 2002. CapeConnect 3.5 also adds significant new functionality, including support for databases over SOAP, enhanced UDDI functionality, and additional support for complex legacy applications.

Through the SOAPBuilders forum, CapeConnect 3.5 has been successfully tested for interoperability with many commercial Web Services products.

Support for Complex Legacy Applications
This latest release of CapeConnect generates WSDL and XML Schema that accurately reflects the complex and object-oriented nature of existing back-end systems through support for polymorphism. Developers also have more control over the WSDL generation and SOAP serialization of their applications through the use of JavaBean design patterns, which are supported by CapeConnect.

Native J2EE Deployment
CapeConnect 3.5 can be deployed either as a standalone platform or as a native J2EE application within leading J2EE application servers, such as WebLogic and WebSphere.
