Camtek Makes the Cut at Fabtech 2005, Chicago
(EMAILWIRE.COM, November 23, 2005 ) Malvern, UK. The Fabtech International trade show, held in Chicago, IL, has been a resounding success for Camtek, who demonstrated the latest versions of SolidCut Laser for 5 axis laser and tube cutting applications.
The booth, which was manned by Camtek’s US reseller, Camtek North America Inc. (CNAI), was also shared with Camtek’s sister company, JETCAM, thus providing a one-stop software shop for virtually all cutting methodologies.
Camtek products of primary interest to visitors at Fabtech were SolidCut Laser and TubeCut, aimed at programming complex multi-axis CNC laser machinery. Camtek’s product range also delivers for milling, turning, and wire EDM applications in jobshop and production applications.
Said Alan Weeks, President of CNAI; “While we have seen a growth in business in 2005 we did not anticipate seeing the level of interest that was displayed at Fabtech. There appears to be a growing trend in manufacturers investing in their existing plant to maximize efficiency. Automation and integration with legacy systems is also on the increase – even the smaller job shops are investing in systems that only five years ago would only have been installed in larger facilities. This year also saw the highest number of orders closed at the booth, and despite being a fabrication show we received many enquiries for our wire EDM product.”
