"Afternoon Delight" features a white capped pionus parrot safely camouflaged amongst moss, bark and bromeliads, gently preening her feathers in the company of a (heliconius doris) butterfly. The Association of Avian Veterinarians has an international membership of more than 3,300 members from 43 countries. One of the purposes of the AAV is to educate its members and the general public as to all aspects of avian medicine and surgery.
