Atlantique City creates advisory
panel of antique dealers
Atlantique City, the world’s largest indoor antiques show, has announced the creation of an eight-member panel of antique dealers to help form policies, promotions and programs during the next year. Advisory panel members are already helping management plan events to celebrate the show’s 20th anniversary.
“We value our panel’s perspective on how to keep Atlantique City a profitable venture for high-quality antique dealers,” said the show’s producer, Eric Bradley. “With a show as diverse and vibrant as ours, we felt it was time to seek input from an esteemed group of professional dealers who represent a wide range of merchandise.”
Members of the 2006 Atlantique City Advisory Panel include pottery dealers Barbara Gerr and Arnie Small, Bakelite expert Abby Nash, fine and decorative arts sellers Chris Bouchard and Dan Seldin, antique toy dealer David Pressland, appraisers Tom and JoAnn Boswell, ephemera expert Kit Barry and antique doll expert Dawn Herlocher.
“These are some of the most successful antiques dealers in their respective industries,” Bradley said. “We are honored that they are willing to share their experience and expertise.” Subjects the panel will weigh in on include special exhibits, enhancing the appearance of the show and, most importantly, methods to increase attendee traffic.
