AbdulJaami, PLLC Reports Progress in LegalMatch.com Litigation
(EMAILWIRE.COM, February 02, 2006 ) NEW YORK, NY, -- On November 8, 2005, Saboor H. AbdulJaami sued LegalMatch.com, Randy Wells and Laurie Ziffrin in Federal court (SDNY, case No. CV 9464). In an overwhelming response to defendants' hasty December '05 motion to dismiss, Mr. AbdulJaami (i) filed an Affirmation in Opposition, (ii) filed a Memorandum of Law in Opposition and (iii) amended the original complaint, specifically alleging that LegalMatch fraudulently induced plaintiff into executing an arbitration agreement.
The new filings strengthen plaintiff's case and explore the relationship between LegalMatch, Randy Wells (a.k.a D. Randall Wells) and Laurie Ziffrin - a theme briefly touched on in Forbes' Feb. '06 "GrudgeMatch.com" article. According to the article, Mr. Wells' contends that LegalMatch's founder, a convicted felon, runs its operations from behind the scenes, a contention that Mr. AbdulJaami is eager to prove during the discovery phase of litigation.
"The key is to defeat LegalMatch's motion to dismiss. Once we accomplish that, we have enough evidence to prove mail and wire fraud and the Court can prevent LegalMatch from continuing to operate its business," said Mr. AbdulJaami.
