AU-System and Diversinet Partner to Secure WAP Devices
Agreement Expands Diversinet’s Wireless Security Availability

(NASDAQ Small Cap: DVNT), a leading provider of m-commerce security infrastructure solutions, and AU-System (SSE:AUS), a leading Mobile Internet consultancy, today announced that they have entered into a Root Certificate License agreement to embed Diversinet’s WTLS Root Certificate into AU-System’s WAP Browser adding increased security for users in the WAP environment.
Under the terms of the agreement, AU-System will license the Diversinet WTLS Root Certificate for incorporation into its products and sublicense the right to use the WTLS Root Certificate in conjunction with the products to end users.
Diversinet and AU-System will work together to provide secure m-commerce applications for AU-System’s client base, including mobile operators and content providers worldwide.
By embedding Diversinet’s root certificate into the AUS WAP Browser, AU-System’s wireless network operator clients are able to provide the level of security required for high-value transactions. WAP Browsers with PKI-support offer the advanced security and authentication required by subscribers engaging in wireless m-commerce transactions.
The AUS WAP Browser can be used as the WAP enabling component in different types of Operating Systems. The WAP Browser’s generic software component can be adapted for use in Palm PDAs, WinCE PDAs, Psion Software’s EPOC O/S designed specifically for ROM-based mobile computing devices, and REX O/S used on Franklin Rex Classic handheld organizers.
