Children’s music group The Wiggles will be at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston as part of their farewell tour.

The tour will comprise of two parts, one in the United States and another in Australia. The US tour is billed as The Wiggles Celebration Canada/USA Tour 2012, and is set to begin on October 5. The Australia tour is called The Wiggles in Concert and will run from November to December.
Page, Fatt, and Cook are set to leave the group in 2013, leaving members Anthony Field and Phillip Wilcher. Once 2012 ends, the three will hand over their purple, red, and yellow skivvies to new members. They are set to be replaced by Emma Watkins, Lachlan Gillespie, and Simon Pryce. The arrival of the new members will allow the group to continue their legacy of entertaining children, which they have kept up for over 2 decades now.
Murray Cook, one of the members who will say goodbye to the group, said: “We’ve been entertaining children around the world for 21 years and it’s important that we plan for the future so that we can keep wiggling in the years to come.”
Emma, who will take up the yellow skivvy, will also be the first ever female member of The Wiggles.
This makes 2012 the final year of touring together for the three departing members, who will use the tour to bid their fans farewell.
As part of their farewell Canada/US tour, The Wiggles will delight children in Boston on October 11. They will have two shows on that day scheduled at 2:30 PM and 6:30 PM. The chosen venue for the show is the Orpheum Theatre.
The tour will also see The Wiggles visit Toronto, Hamilton, Washington DC, New York, Halifax, St. John, Ottawa, London ON, Oshawa, Sault Ste. Marie, Thunder Bay, Winnipeg, Saskatoo, Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver.
The tour will conclude on the 28th of October with a show at Vancouver’s Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre.
After concluding their U.S. tour in October, The Wiggles will head to Australia where they will spend the last two months of the year on tour. There they will visit cities such as Hobart, Launceston, Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane, Newcastle, and Wollongong.
