The annual awards competition showcases the most innovative Insulated Concrete Forms projects from around the globe. The award winners exemplify the energy-efficiency, comfort, creative architecture, and speed of installation that can be achieved with ICF construction.

Quad-Lock projects received awards in the following categories:

Heavy Commercial:
Best in Class for the College of the Bahamas Library in Nassau, Bahamas. This 60,000 sqft project is not only a state of the art library and information center, it is also designated as a Disaster Relief Center designed to withstand a Category 5 hurricane. The complex design has a circular core structure with two curved wings. With barely any straight walls in the building, Quad-Lock's ICF system was perfect for this project. Larry Treco, President of CGT Construction, says "At the beginning of this undertaking, I was convinced that it wouldn't work, but in the end, I admit that we never would have been able to do this project without Quad-Lock".

Multi-Family:
First Runner Up for the Valley Lofts & Green Roofs in Orange, NJ, consisting of two eco-friendly buildings with two luxury lofts in each. The soaring 20 ft ceilings were built with Quad-Deck which also provided the structure for beautiful Green Roof gardens on the top of the buildings. For added safety the separating walls between units used the Quad-Lock ICF with Fire Resistance Ratings of up to 4 hours.

Unlimited Residential:
First Runner Up for the Atlantic Coast Beach House near Dewey Beach, DE, a stunning custom home in one of the country's most scenic settings. The area is prone to high winds of up to 100mph, hurricanes, and flooding, so concrete construction with integrated walls, floors, and roof became the preferred solution. The builders chose Quad-Lock and Quad-Deck for their seamless integration along with the ability to meet the complex design requirements. A rooftop deck with panoramic views and a 40% reduction in size of the HVAC system topped off the wish list.

Large Residential:
First Runner Up for the Teague Residence in Lighthouse Point, FL just south of Boca Raton, a 6,000 sqft waterfront home that fulfills a dream for the owners. The entire home is constructed using Quad-Lock walls, with the 2nd floor and the entire low pitched roof utilizing Quad-Deck. The home also features solar panels on the roof and the owners are happy about electricity bills of a little more than $100/month compared to their neighbors' typical bills of $500-600 per month.

Large Residential:
Second Runner Up for the Hurry Back Home in Portage, WI, a Work & Live building designed for a 100 year-plus life-cycle by an architect for his parents. Experienced with commercial LEED projects, he incorporated many LEED guidelines, such as indoor environmental quality, energy and water conservation, waste reduction, and lower operating costs. To help achieve those goals Quad-Deck was chosen for all the floors and roofs and Quad-Lock for the walls with R-22 insulation below grade and R-30 above.
