Chambers to Design New Clubhouse at Lakewood Country Club in Westlake, Ohio
Master Planning, Architecture and Design Expertise Attract Prestigious Club
(EMAILWIRE.COM, January 09, 2012 ) BALTIMORE, MD – Chambers has been selected to design and oversee building of a new clubhouse for Lakewood Country Club in Westlake, Ohio. The Baltimore-based planning, architecture and interior design firm gained overwhelming membership approval of its master plan to build the clubhouse, which includes a new wellness/fitness center, golf learning facility, enhanced kitchen facilities and several member dining and banquet spaces.

Under Chambers’ new design, the structure will feature a much smaller footprint than the previous 54,000 square foot clubhouse, while incorporating new dining spaces that maximize views of the club’s stunning A.W. Tillinghast golf course, enhanced patio and outdoor dining areas, locker rooms, a full service wellness/fitness facility, and a new amenity — an indoor, year-round golf learning center. A new lower level will incorporate bag, furniture and kitchen storage. Construction is scheduled to begin in May with an estimated completion date of June 1, 2013.
