James Hamilton, a Florida nature and wildlife photographer, displays some of his photographs at Sanibel Island's Education Center at Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge.
(EMAILWIRE.COM, December 21, 2011 ) Fort Myers, FL -- James Hamilton a local nature and wildlife photographer will be displaying his wildlife photographs at the Education Center at J. N. Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel Island, Florida, December 2011 through February 2012.
Hamilton is a graduate of Edison College with an Associate of Arts degree. He has studied under many professional photographers such as Garth Francis, Tomas Lopez, Judy Harmon, Don McGown and the rocky Mountain School of Photography. His main interest in Florida wildlife, but has also done photography in North Carolina, Texas and Washington.
Hamilton's passion for photography began with watching lizards and other wildlife in his own backyard. Since many of his discoveries scurried away before he could show anyone, his passion to show others what he had discovered led to capturing it in a photo. “My interest in photography began with a passionate desire to see the world through a camera lens. Capturing a specific photograph means conveying to others what I have seen through my lenses and passing that moment in time on through photographic images. This is how I share my visual expression in which I open the door for others to see the amazing wonders of nature.” said Hamilton
Hamilton is a supporter of nature and wildlife, and does volunteer work for nature and wildlife centers in Southwest Florida. As a volunteer for the Conservancy of Southwest Florida he helps insured wildlife, and presently is a Transport/Rescue driver for them. He also helps release the rehabilitated wildlife back into their natural habitat.
As well as being a wildlife photographer, Hamilton also works for Harvey Software, Inc. as a graphic artist and digital media photographer.
