United States Joint Committee Wants Limit on the Use of Vaginal Mesh Products
A Joint Committee issued by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and the American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS) recommends limiting the use of vaginal mesh to high-risk women only.

In July 2011, the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a formal warning to health care professionals advising them to consider alternative treatments to vaginal mesh. The FDA issued its first communication regarding the dangers of vaginal mesh in 2008 and since then, the agency has continued to review the safety of the device.
