New Kindle Fire Review Points out the Good, the Bad and the Ugly of the latest multimedia tablet computer from Amazon

A recently published review on the Amazon Kindle Fire points out strengths and weaknesses of the device.

(EMAILWIRE.COM, December 14, 2011 ) Champaign, IL -- The website Best eReader Reviews has recently published an extensive review of the newly released Amazon Kindle Fire, giving 25 reasons that show why a buyer should love it and 10 reasons that demonstrate why it may not be a good choice.

This Kindle Fire review seems to have given prominence to pricing which they actually list first among the ‘good’ 25 reasons and compares it with the pricing of the entry level iPad2. The Kindle’s price is $199 which is $300 and $630 cheaper than the entry level iPda2 and the most expensive iPad2, respectively. The processor is a 1 GHz-Dual Core with 512 MB RAM, which is equivalent to the iPad2. Other reasons include a high resolution screen, wide angle of viewing, vivid colors (16 million), highly responsive multi touch screen display, great app selection, ultra-fast web browsing and free cloud storage backup.

For entertainment lovers, the movies, TV shows, the best Kindle Fire apps and songs available on the Kindle Fire will perhaps come out as the strongest center of attraction. There are 17 million songs, over 100,000 movies and more than 10,000 popular TV shows. The Review features a video that shows all the TV shows and movies that are accessible through the Kindle. Reading enthusiasts will equally be spoilt for choice because there are more than 1million ebooks in the Amazon store and over 2 million out-of-copyright books (all free).

The absence of 3G comes out as the first and perhaps strongest reason not to love the Kindle Fire, but they point out that the $499 entry level iPad2 has no 3G either while the cheapest iPad2 with 3G goes for $629. Internal memory is only 8GB, the Kindle Fire has neither a camera nor a microphone, there is no Bluetooth, no GPS or maps, and no microSD-a factor the Review says should not be an issue since the Amazon cloud storage is just sufficient.
