(EMAILWIRE.COM, December 02, 2011 ) BALTIMORE, MD, December 2, 2011 – Chambers has been selected by the Columbia Association (CA) of Maryland to update the city’s Hobbit’s Glen Golf Club clubhouse. After an extensive review process, the Baltimore-based architecture and interior design firm was selected based on its architectural and design expertise, and because of its decades-long experience working with private clubs across the United States.

“We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Hobbit’s Glen,” says Chambers President & CEO Rick Snellinger. “We’ve designed hundreds of clubs across the country,” Snellinger says from the firm’s Montgomery Park headquarters near downtown Baltimore. “This project gives us a rare opportunity to put our expertise to work right in our own backyard.”

Chambers was chosen from among a number of regional and national firms that responded to the CA’s request for proposal, or RFP. After a comprehensive research and planning phase, Chambers will submit designs to the Club in Spring 2012. The CA Board of Directors has approved close to $6 million for the clubhouse renovation project.
