The new collection is available on the west coast exclusively at Fred Segal in Santa Monica, California starting in November.

The line consists of a total of 13 different faux fur handbags that can be worn as a muff or as a shoulder bag. The collection is made from a beautiful selection of high quality faux furs including Black or Blonde Feathered Fur, Sheared Chinchilla, Black, Cream or Silver-tipped Gray Tibetan Lamb, and Coyote.

“From all my years covering society and fashion, I really saw an opportunity with this muff bag idea. There is nothing like it to date in the market and it really gives both dressy and or casual looks a little bit of ‘retro-glam,’ says Brown. “The Sloane Brown bag looks great, goes with everything and is functional too. Who knew a modernized ‘old-fashioned accessory’ could be so versatile and hip?”

The bag comes in two sizes- a smaller 10 x 13” silhouette and larger 13 x 16” silhouette. All of the silhouettes have a chain strap and a signature logo medallion. The straps come in 2 colors: rhodium silver or gold and because of the strap’s adjustable nature the bag can be worn in a number of ways.

All the bags have two deep inside zip pockets that run the full length of the bag so it can carry everything you need. The zipper pulls are Swarovski crystals; each a different shape, so you can easily differentiate between the two inside pockets and don’t have to spend time digging around for things. In addition, there's a special cell phone pouch allowing easy and fast access.

Bettina Duncan @ Fred Segal, the exclusive west coast retailer is currently selling the bags for $410.00 for the smaller 10 x13’’ silhouette and $470.00 for the larger 13x16” silhouette. Brown is limiting this season's release to a handful of local Baltimore retailers including Ruth Shaw, Handbags in the City and Fresh Boutique. The company is planning for a national release in Fall 2012.

Sloane Brown got her start in fashion accessories when she launched her own jewelry line in 2002, after studying jewelry design at the Maryland Institute College of Art. With this latest release of designer handbags Sloane Brown has expanded her business from jewelry into the greater world of luxury accessories.
