This recent round of recruitment is in response to the increasing demands of SmartClick’s growing client roster and dramatically increased billings from current clients.

“We’re really excited to add a few new members to our team,” said Glen Spencer, CEO and founder of SmartClick. “It’s really humbling to be able to expand in a time where the economy is not as strong as it has been in the past."

Lauren-Ashley Fuller, an online copywriter, comes to SmartClick after founding The Get Smart, a marketing and graphic design firm, at the age of 24. Lauren-Ashley has a strong background in copywriting, blogging, Twitter marketing and graphic design; she acquired these skills while running The Get Smart.

Mehri Movassaghpour comes to SmartClick with a wealth of knowledge and experience in e-mail marketing. Mehri, SmartClick's online social media coordinator, honed her talents at Blue Tent Marketing, a Colorado-based online marketing agency, where her team received a MarketingSherpa award in 2009 for their email work.

Chris Connolly has a master’s degree in integrated marketing communications from Emerson College. Chris comes to SmartClick after working at Lijit Networks, a local Boulder ad firm, where he worked in publisher development. During his time with Lijit, Connolly developed an expertise in copywriting skills and blog outreach.

In addition to Connolly, Fuller and Movassaghpour, SmartClick has recently added two interns, Miranda Shubert and Sherveen Shingu, to assist with online PR and Facebook marketing. Both interns are students at CU Boulder set to graduate in the 2011-2012 academic year.

“I think our new additions will have an immediate impact,” said Drew Clements, marketing manager. “We hired Lauren, Chris and Mehri not just because of their vast experience, but also their ability to adapt—they’re hitting the ground running.”

In an economy with an anemic 8.3% unemployment in Colorado, SmartClick has not only endured, but also grown its client roster.
