(EMAILWIRE.COM, November 07, 2011 ) HOUSTON – In Houston author Teke Monono's transcendental book of poetry, “The Blind Gander,” he shares his pain, tears, joy, laughter, and fulfillment in walking with God.

The title of the book is based on the name for an adult male goose, a somewhat proud animal that wants to always be in control and seldom backs out of a fight – a description Monono believes also perfectly illustrates man and his distant regard to his plight. Man he thinks he knows about everything he sees, the author explains, yet his vision is only truly effective when he submits to God.

Through his poetry, Monono expresses that even though the blind flight faith requires is sometimes an unbearable thought, flight does not have to be a struggle. It does not have to be done alone, for God's hand always leads.

Originally from Cameroon, Monono is a talented writer as well as a devoted student. He has soared through many of life's challenges and come out a veritable winner.
