Hosted by the Technology Services Industry Association (TSIA), TSW is the preeminent source of learning and peer networking in the services industry.

Guest speaker Fornell, who maintains a leading role in the industry as a key player at NCR and also sits on the executive board for TSIA, shared her career story and how services accelerated her success.

Tuesday evening’s event was sponsored by Cisco, EMC, Symantec, and Microsoft.

The Women in Services dining and networking event affords participants access to senior women executives in services to discuss business and career challenges. A portion of the dinner ticket price and chance drawing tickets are donated to Dress for Success San Diego, a charity organization that provides business attire and career counseling for financially challenged women.

Additional WIS sessions included a pre-conference Professional Development Course on Monday, October 24, conducted by Kathryn Ullrich, noted author and associate director of Alumni Career Services at UCLA Anderson School of Management. The workshop focused on career planning and leadership development. “Women in Services: Profiles of Success” took place Tuesday afternoon, and featured women service executives who discussed career choices and mentoring models, as well as professional and personal development. Featured were vice presidents from Diebold, NetApp, Oracle, SAP, and Xerox.

Women in Services has dedicated forums established on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Technology Services Forum.
