If someone finally achieved doing ten pull-ups, they would set their sight on twelve. If they finally got their own apartment, they start thinking about owning a home. If they graduate from college, they consider getting a Master’s degree. If they have one best friend, they think about having three great friends. If they buy a new Ford, they soon start looking at BMW’s. When they get the new BMW, they start looking at Maseratis. If they start a successful business, they start having ideas for a second business. When they perfect that cake recipe, they instantly start looking at a new baking idea. When they create a masterpiece in song, in granite, or on canvas, they almost instantly start dreaming of the next creation.

This is human nature. It is not based on materialism and is not based on satisfaction. It is based on a continuing desire to learn and grow, to expand our thinking and gain more wisdom, to experience MORE in life. Humans are not put on this planet to be satisfied. Humans are put here to add to the planet, to the Universe, and to humanity. They do this by always striving for more. Thinking, creating, imagining, and allowing inspired thoughts to flow through us and to others. It is done this by taking action on the inspired thoughts.

Let's replace the word satisfied with the word appreciation. It is really ideal to appreciate everything one has, to accept exactly where one is right now and enjoy every minute of it, and yet always keep the door open for more. When a person no longer desires more, they have lost their will to live. Desire is what keeps the life force flowing through them.

When someone says that people should be satisfied with what they have, the most inspired thing to give them is the advice to be completely accepting of what they have and where they are, and appreciate every bit of it; and to never stop striving to have more, to do more, and to be more!"
