Industrial distributor Hisco has acquired Aero Colors. The acquisition enables Hisco to distribute AkzoNobel’s complete product portfolio of aircraft paints and primers as well as Sea to Sky Innovations and Permagard aviation products.
(EMAILWIRE.COM, October 05, 2017 ) HOUSTON—October 5, 2017— Hisco Inc. announced today it has acquired Florida-based aerospace distributor Aero Colors, enabling employee-owned, specialty distribution company Hisco to distribute AkzoNobel’s complete product portfolio of aircraft paints and primers. The acquisition also allows Hisco to distribute Sea to Sky Innovations and Permagard aviation products. The announcement comes less than a month after Hisco subsidiary HiscoMex secured a partnership with AkzoNobel to distribute its products in Mexico.
“The acquisition of Aero Colors accelerates Hisco’s continued geographic and sector expansion throughout North America,” says President and CEO Bob Dill. “It strengthens our position in the aerospace coatings business and adds to Hisco’s service offerings across the aerospace value chain.”
A full stocking distributor with local inventory and multiple AS9120-certified sites, Hisco is uniquely positioned to deliver essential aerospace products, including AkzoNobel’s Aerodur Base Coat/Clear Coat system, Eclipse topcoat, Alumigrip products and more. Hisco’s exclusive Documented Cost Savings (DCS) program has saved customers more than $122 million to date.
For more than 45 years, Hisco has delivered value to customers through quality products, process solutions and local inventory. Today, the international branch network includes 38 stocking locations in three countries: the United States, HiscoMex in Mexico and HiscoCan in Canada. Hisco’s Precision Converting facilities provide value-added fabrication, and its Adhesive Materials Group provides an array of custom repackaging. Hisco also offers vendor-managed inventory programs and specialized warehousing for chemical management, logistics services and cold storage. Its supplier base includes manufacturing giants Henkel, Alpha and 3M, to name a few. For more information, visit www.hisco.com.
