EGHT is currently trading at $1.58 with no change from its previous close at the trading volume of 207,123. It has the market capitalization of 100.42 million shares. The company markets its services under the 8×8 brand in the United States and internationally. As of March 31, 2010, it had approximately 20,000 business customers who use its services as their primary business telephone system. 8×8, Inc. was founded in 1987 and is headquartered in Sunnyvale, California.
Last month, EGHT announced that its 8×8 Virtual Office Pro cloud communications solution has received PC Magazine’s coveted Editors’ Choice Award, a recognition given by expert analysts in PC Magazine Labs to products and services that stand out from and above similar products in their categories. Right after receiving the award, it announced that its Board of Directors has authorized an increase in its share repurchase program from $2 million to $3 million to buyback shares of the Company’s stock. The Company will continue to repurchase shares during its regularly scheduled open trading window, which is typically the middle five weeks of each quarter, and will establish a 10b-5 plan that will permit buyback of shares at times other than when the scheduled window is open.
Company also sells pre-programmed IP telephones with speakerphones and a display screen in conjunction with its Virtual Office service plans, which enable its business customers to access additional Virtual Office features through on-screen phone menus.

also offers 8×8 Managed Hosting and Cloud-Based Computing solutions to business customers through its subsidiary, Central Host, Inc.
