Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) added 2.97% to $250.33 on over 24.89 million shares ahead of a company event in which Apple is expected to unveil updates to some of its iPod digital media players. Over the past 52-weeks, the stock traded within the range of $164.11-$279.01. The volumes were high today at 24.89 million shares as compared to its daily average volume of 17.35 million shares.

Dell Inc. (NASDAQ:DELL) surged 2.97% to $12.12 on over 21.49 million shares. After opening today`s trade at $11.95, the stock traded within the range of $11.79-$12.15. At current market price, the market capitalization of the stock stands at $23.57 billion.
