Regis Corporation (NYSE:RGS) advanced 0.12% to $16.97 on over 1.04 million shares. The company reported fourth-quarter net income of $18.34 million or $0.30 per share compared with a loss of $4.55 million or $0.11 per share last year.

A-Power Energy Generation Systems, Ltd. (NASDAQ:APWR) lost 3.17% to close at $6.41 on over 2.40 million shares after the stock created its new 52-week low of $6.06. The company reported an increase in profit for the second quarter, driven by higher revenues.

For the second quarter, net income attributable to the company increased to $11.65 million from $6.25 million in the year-ago quarter. On a per share basis, earnings rose to $0.25 from $0.14 in the comparable quarter of last year.
